-The right to restrict processing
This is a complicated right to understand.
If an organisation’s data on them is inaccurate or used illegally, a data subject can restrict how it’s used.
This also applies if the organisation was going to delete the data, but the data subject needs it for legal reasons.

If Jane chooses to restrict how Mike uses her data, there’s very little he can do with it.
He can store it safely, but everything else – even deleting it – is off limits.

There are some exceptions to both Jane and Mike’s rights if Jane were to file a request like this.
