In a previous course, we told the story of a recovered gambling addict who thought he’d been exploited by a certain website. 

He sent the website a request for his data, and found evidence that they knew about his addiction.

He brought this evidence to the media, and starred in a documentary.

This shows how powerful data protection laws can be.
