Requesting their information isn’t all a data subject can do. 

In previous courses we met Jane, a cat lover who’s been exposed to multiple data breaches.

The breaches were unintentionally caused by Mike, who sold her a pet house through eBay.

First, Mike had his email account hacked, exposing Jane’s contact information to a criminal.

Some time later, he sent her a newsletter without using BCC. This meant that everyone else who received the newsletter could see her email address.
