If a decision based on ADM would affect you significantly, they wouldn’t be able to do it under the GDPR.
The same goes if ADM would affect you legally; for instance, by charging you with a crime.

This means that under the GDPR, a bank can’t use ADM to decide who gets a loan, and a court can’t use it to see who should get parole.
On the other hand, Netflix can keep recommending you shows, and Spotify can keep recommending you songs.
This is because you’re not being significantly affected by these things.
