YouTube makes you use a Google account to sign in. A Google account is the same one you use for Gmail or Google Drive.

When you comment on a YouTube video or upload something, everyone will see your full name and profile photo.

This link leads to YouTube Studio. If you follow the link, you can change your full name to a nickname by going to Customisation and then Basic Info.

Some of YouTube’s privacy settings only apply if you upload videos.
