In our Password Security course, we discussed writing down important passwords in a safe place.

 

Although this is safer than reusing them, you might be wondering if there’s a better way of doing this.

 

The best way of storing your passwords is by using a piece of software called a password manager.

 

 

Password managers can generate new, secure passwords for each account you create.

 

Their main purpose, though, is to lock all your other passwords behind a strong ‘primary password’ (also known as a ‘master password’).
