When you open KeepassXC, you’ll see a window with a button called ‘new database’. Click this button to create your password database.

Click ‘continue’ until you reach the Database Credentials screen, which will ask you to enter a primary password.
It’s very important you choose a password which you can remember, but which is also strong enough to ward off hackers.

Remember what you learned in the previous modules. A long, memorable phrase (such as ‘Quentin Trivago can’t carry a tune’) is worth more than a short, random one (like ‘3tHt;agn!’)
If in doubt, look at the coloured bar under the ‘Enter password’ box. When you type in a fairly secure primary password, it should turn green.
If you can make your password long enough that the bar reaches its maximum, that’s even more secure.
