Once you have your new database open, you can add to it by clicking the “plus” icon to the top-left of the window.

Passwords aren’t the only thing KeepassXC can store. We also add the Title of the website it’s being used for, and our Username.

When it comes time to fill in the password for the website, KeepassXC has a useful feature.

We can click the dice icon next to the password box to generate a truly random password which no hacker would ever guess.

This password will be a long piece of gibberish like “4*T~g4~Vm#e,)l&1zhMJ”. We certainly won’t remember it, but this password is random, long and strong enough to thwart even the smartest of hackers.

To access your passwords, right click on the password you want to copy from your database and select, “Copy password”.

This will copy the password to your computer’s clipboard. From there, you can paste it into a login form.
