Some are inoffensive while others are obnoxious. But once in a while, you might find an advert that causes real damage.

Internet ads can sometimes trick your computer into doing something it shouldn’t.

For example, they could redirect you from an innocent website to one run by criminals.

Some of the nastier ones can even download malware onto your device.
